The Green Street Garage will reopen to the public on Thursday, March 16, and the top floors of First Street Garage have reopened as construction concludes at both city-owned garages.

Traffic flow in the Green Street Garage has returned to normal and maintenance work is almost complete. The City will reopen the garage to daily and hourly parkers on Thursday, March 16. Work included waterproofing, leak repairs, and other updates. Remaining work includes painting, and people parking should continue to follow signage and guidance from garage staff.

To park at Green Street Garage (near Central Square), enter the garage at 260 Green St. and pay hourly rates starting at $4 for one hour. Learn more here. Several floors of the First Street Garage were previously closed as the City completed emergency repair work to the First Street staircase. Those floors are now reopened to the public. People parking should continue to follow signage and guidance from garage staff.

To park at First Street Garage (in East Cambridge), enter across from 10 Spring St. and pay hourly rates starting at $4 for one hour. Cambridge residents may apply for reduced-fee monthly parking at First Street Garage for $100 per month between May and November and $50 per month between December and April. Learn more here.
