There's plenty of horse racing features this weekend, including four Grade 1 Sprints at Scottsville on Saturday, as well as Sunday's Meeting at Kenilworth!

The curtain raiser to all the Group 1 sprints on Saturday sees Captain Fontane tipped as the leading runner in Race 4 on Saturday. The 5-year-old gelding from Captain Al produced an eye-catching run last time and comes into this race in great form. He beat a classy field last time out and will be handy from a neat draw of gate 4. He won his only attempt on this course and Serino Moodley is yet to finish unplaced aboard this gelding.

Mrs Geriatrix will be hoping to keep her unbeaten record intact for the lovely Magical Lady Syndicate when Richard Fourie teams up with Sean Tarry once again in the Allan Robertson Championship. The daughter of Vercingetorix has won all three of her starts to date, including the Grade 2 Fillies Nursery. She's perfectly drawn on the outside up the 1200m straight and should take a power of beating.

Once again, Richard Fourie and Sean Tarry are the pair to follow with Lucky Lad. Yet again, he's got the preferred draw of being widest of all at barrier gate 11. This son of Gimmethegreenlight is also unbeaten so Fourie will be hoping to make it four from four once again. By no means is this a weak field, but this does look to be one of the better bets on the card.

The SA Fillies Sprint seems like a match-race between Princess Calla and the top selection, Desert Miracle. The leading fillies renew their rivalry from two opposite ends of the barrier gates with the wide draw firmly in Desert Miracle's favour. The Mike De Kock-trained filly has an explosive turn of foot and with luck in running, she should beat the well-fancied mare.

In what seems to be top jockey Keagan De Melo's best chance of winning one of the main features on Saturday, Gimme A Prince looks to be the pick of the bunch. The Dean Kannemeyer-trained gelding has been ultra-impressive in his career and finished a close second in his comeback run in the Drill Hall Stakes behind Trip Of Fortune. Again, the wide draw at Scottsville playing a huge role and looks worth following once more.

The gelding seems to have done the trick on Impetuous who looks tough to oppose on his last run. The son of William Longsword returned to the track to win by over 5 lengths and in 100 seconds. To paint a clearer picture of how impressive that is, his two market rivals finished four seconds later over the same distance in their last start.

Sunday's meeting at Kenilworth does seem to be extra competitive, but Fun Zone looks like she could be the filly to bring home some coin on the day. She gets the services of Aldo Domeyer, who was scheduled to ride her in her last start, but Gareth Wright picked up the ride on the day due to a late jockey change. The daughter of Rafeef has her 3rd run after a rest and sure does look tough to beat.

Aldo Domeyer and Candice Bass-Robinson look likely to make it a quick double with Distant Winter. The speedy daughter of What A Winter won a Grade 3 last time out, beating some well-recognized fillies as well as colts. Now, back against her own sex and fairly weaker company, she should be able to make it a hat-trick of wins.
