Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff's Office to share updates with the residents, this is a summary of Tamarac crime events through May 29.

Auto Theft

A victim of Auto Theft on S Colony Circle was reported on: 05/23/2023. An unknown person took the victim's vehicle.

A victim of Auto Theft on E Sabal Palm Blvd was reported on: 05/23/2023. The vehicle was stolen from the parking lot of a residential building.

A victim of Auto Theft on Queen Palm Lane was reported on: 05/25/2023. An unknown subject stole the victim's 2022 black Infinity QX60 without forced entry. The vehicle's spare key FOB was left inside the car.

A victim of Auto Theft on N University Drive was reported on: 05/27/2023. An unknown suspect stole the victim's vehicle.

Theft – All Other

A victim of Theft – All Other on NW 80 Street was reported on: 05/23/2023. The total estimated loss was: $800. An unknown person who resides on NW 80th Street cut the lock on the water meter and replaced it with a jumper to illegally use city water.

A victim of Theft – All Other on N University Drive was reported on: 05/25/2023. The total estimated loss was: $800. Unknown subject(s) stole two Stihl Weed Trimmers, valued at $800 each.

Theft – Retail / Shoplifting

A victim of Theft – Retail / Shoplifting on N University Drive was reported on: 05/23/2023. The total estimated loss was: $315. Two suspects entered and took items without paying for them.

A victim of Theft – Retail / Shoplifting on W Commercial Blvd was reported on: 05/23/2023. The total estimated loss was: $51.

A victim of Theft – Retail / Shoplifting on W Commercial Blvd was reported on: 05/24/2023. The total estimated loss was: $79.

A victim of Theft – Retail / Shoplifting on W Commercial Blvd was reported on: 05/24/2023. The total estimated loss was: $628. The offender attempted to steal $958.75 worth of health and beauty products from the business.

Fire

A victim of Fire on Rock Island Road/W Commercial Blvd was reported on: 05/24/2023.

Burglary Conveyance

A victim of Burglary Conveyance on Madison Avenue was reported on: 05/25/2023. The total estimated loss was: $8,004. Two males entered the property on 05/23/2023, stole a white Infiniti Q60, and burglarized three other Infinitis on the lot. Two other vehicles were unlocked, and they broke a window on the third.

A victim of Burglary Conveyance on N University Drive was reported on: 05/24/2023. The total estimated loss was: $300. A white Honda Accord was broken into when an unknown offender entered the vehicle from the driver's side door and took out the steering wheel airbag.

Animal Bite

A victim of an Animal Bite on Southgate Blvd was reported on: 05/26/2023. A Pitbull mix pulled away from its owner and chased down the victim. The victim suffered minor injuries and was transported to Woodmont Hospital.

Arrests

Smith, Jeffrey, William, 50, was arrested on a charge of Warrant – Cyber Stalking at W Commercial Blvd on 05/23/2023.

Joseph, James, 23, was arrested on a Robbery – No Firearm Or Weapon charge at Lakeside Drive on 05/24/2023.

Zachery, Kenneth, 61, was arrested on a Larceny – Petit Theft 2nd Degree 3rd Subsq Offense charge at W Commercial Blvd on 05/25/2023.

Ramosrevas, Marcos, 31, was arrested on a Trespassing – Property Not Structure Or Convey charge at W Commercial Blvd on 05/26/2023.

Shirey, Shaun, Hunter, 35, was arrested on a Trespassing – Property Not Structure Or Convey charge at W Commercial Blvd on 05/26/2023.

Rosales, Alfredo, 29, was arrested on a Trespassing – Property Not Structure Or Convey charge at W Commercial Blvd on 05/26/2023.
