The country's third largest automaker Tata Motors has launched its newest upgraded Nexon EV MaxXZ+ Lux at a starting price of Rs 18.79 Lakh (ex-showroom). This new variant will now come equipped with an enhanced 26.03 cm (10.25 inch) Touchscreen Infotainment system by HARMAN. Apart from this no other mechanical changes have made to the car and its still comes powered by the drivetrain as the outgoing Nexon EV Max model.

This new screen will feature connectivity options with Android Auto & Apple Carplay over WiFi, High Definition Rear View Camera, Heightened audio performance with sharp notes & extended Bass performance. Furthermore, the new system will also be offered with a voice assistant which will be able to operate in 6 languages, and take 180+ voice commands in English, Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, along with a new User Interface (UI).

As mentioned apart from this upgrade the variant does not get any additional changes and it will still come powered by the same Tata Ziptron technology. It will come equipped with a 40.5 kWh Lithium-ion battery pack. The battery capacity is 33 percent more than the regular Nexon EV. Bigger battery pack results in a longer range. Tata Nexon EV Max has an ARAI certified range of 437 km (regular version offers 312 kms claimed range).

In terms of power specification the Tata Nexon EV generates a maximum of 143 Ps and 250 Nm of peak torque. Nexon EV Max can do 0-100 kmph sprint in just under 9 seconds and like all the outgoing model it will be available with options of a 3.3 kW charger or a 7.2 kW AC fast charger. The 7.2 kW AC fast charger can be installed either at home or at workplace. The 7.2 kW AC charger would take around 6.5 hours to fully charge the vehicle. Other than this Nexon EV also supports 50 kW DC charging which takes around 56 minutes to charge the NexonEV Max from 0-80 percent.

In terms of pricing of the Nexon EV Max which is currently offered in the following trims will be priced as follows. The list of variants include XM, XM 7.2 kW AC Fast Charger, XZ+, XZ+ 7.2 kW AC Fast Charger, XZ+ Lux, XZ+ Lux 7.2 kW AC Fast Charger, Dark XZ+ Lux, and Dark XZ+ Lux 7.2 kW AC Fast Charger. In terms of pricing the XM trim is priced at Rs 16.49 lakh, the XM trim with a 7.2 kW AC fast charger is priced at Rs 16.99 lakh, the XZ+ trim is priced at Rs 17.49 lakh.

Furthermore, the XZ+ trim with a 7.2 kW AC fast charger is priced at Rs 17.99 lakh, the XZ+ Lux trim is priced at Rs 18.79 lakh, the XZ+ Lux trim with a 7.2 kW AC fast charger is priced at Rs 19.29 lakh, the Dark XZ+ Lux trim is priced at Rs 19.04 lakh, and the Dark XZ+ Lux trim with a 7.2 kW AC fast charger is priced at Rs 19.54 lakh (Ex-showroom, All India).

Apart from the Nexon EV Max there is also the Nexon EV Prime model as well which is offered in trims including XM, XZ+, XZ+ Lux, Dark XZ+, and Dark XZ+ Lux. The XM trim is priced at Rs 14.49 lakh (Ex-showroom, All India), the XZ+ trim is priced at Rs 15.99 lakh, the XZ+ Lux trim is priced at Rs 16.99 lakh, the Dark XZ+ trim is priced at Rs 16.19 lakh, and the Dark XZ+ Lux trim is priced at Rs 17.19 lakh.
