As most commuters drive 40 miles or fewer each day, even Level 1 (standard 120-volt) chargers would suffice for workplace parking areas. Even better would be relatively low cost Level 2 (standard 220-volt connections like those used by electric clothes dryers) chargers, which could provide the 40 miles in less than 2 hours of charging — or could provide a full week’s worth of charging in less than 8 hours.
It has been widely reported that the momentum of EV sales has slipped, which elevates the importance of practical solutions like Revvit’s slow-charging system and the more flexible options offered by Orange Charger. Lower-cost approaches like these could expand EV attractiveness beyond those with private homes. It could become analogous to the widespread adoption of automobiles that began with the Ford Model T — a product that was newly affordable to millions of Americans.

EVs are a major tool in the quest to mitigate climate change, and charging infrastructure is key to EV adoption. Kudos to all who innovate in this space.
