LOCK HAVEN — Downtown Lock Haven, Inc. is gearing up to celebrate Clinton County and all that makes it great.

The non-profit has scheduled its 22nd Annual Best of Clinton County festival Saturday, June 17 and is ensuring it's bigger and better than ever.

The day-long festival will feature a wide range of vendors — from food to arts and crafts and more — along with a variety of games, activities and informational booths. Local businesses will also be open during the event.

The vendors will be up and running in the parking stalls along East Main Street from its intersection with Jay Street to Mill Street at 10:30 a.m. There will also be activities in the East Main Street parking lot and Triangle Park.

Among activities are oversized games including Operation and Kerplunk, face painting and crafts; an obstacle course, bounce house and slide at Triangle Park; a rock climbing wall and more in the East Main Street parking lot.

DJ Chet will be out in the street providing music for festival goers to enjoy too.

This year, DLH is looking to celebrate more than just the county. The Clinton County Township Association turns 110 this year, and the non-profit is looking to celebrate all of the municipalities within the county.

"We’re celebrating a lot this year at the 22nd Annual Best of Clinton County, and we’re looking for even more participation in our annual parade," DLH Manager Kira Rosamilia said. "Let's show our pride in Clinton County and the municipalities we call home!"

Businesses, organizations or the municipalities themselves are encouraged to register for the annual parade, set to take place at 3:30 p.m. Rosamilia said she hopes each float can showcase a part of the county that makes it so special.

Those interested in registering for the parade may call the DLH office at 570-748-1576 or email [email protected].

Line up will take place at North Henderson Street, with the parade set to make its way down Main Street.

The parade won't be the end of the festivities. Two local restaurants will offer live music during the evening.

The Old Corner Grill and Bottle Shop will continue its street closure on Grove Street. The night will include a performance by Scott Turner at 7:30 p.m.

Stella A's Bar and Grill will also offer live music, with Frosted Mini-Wheats to perform at 8 p.m.

Rosamilia gave a shout out to the area businesses that are sponsoring the event:

— Main Street Gold Sponsors: First Quality; M&T Bank; Geisinger

— Water Street Silver Sponsors: Terrapin

Rosamilia and DLH's board of directors hope everyone makes plans to come downtown for the nonprofit's annual event.

"It's going to be a great time filled with fun, food, games and celebrating the best Clinton County has to offer," Rosamilia said.
