This guide will show you how to research Tanalorr on Koboh via the Stone Spires

This guide will show you how to research Tanalorr on Koboh via the Stone Spires in Star Wars Jedi Survivor! This segment involves a lot of puzzle-solving and you will find all solutions to these puzzles here as well as tips on how to defeat the bosses and other creatures you will face at the Stone Spires!

To get started, you’ll need to head toward the Riverbed Watch area on Koboh. This is very close to the Southern Reach next to Rambler's Reach Outpost. Watch out for any probe droids, Imperials, and Bedlam Raiders in the area.

Look for a relter at the end of the cliff, you’ll need to ride it and glide down to the opening below.

Once you glide down, jump to the platform in front of you, wall run across and climb the vines to reach a Meditation Point. Interact with it to save this spot as a Fast Travel point.

Use your ascension cable to reach the relter perched on the cliff ahead and glide down above the lava river. You’ll encounter a fumarole, use the updraft coming out of it to regain some air as you descend.

You’ll get attacked by a Haxion Brood bounty hunter, Korej Lim, as he knocks you off the relter.

Korej Lim isn't that bad of a fight but he can be very slippery. Korej Lim makes heavy use of his jetpack and will try to keep his distance while in the air. He will land occasionally so closing the gap then to attack him is a good way to get some damage done.

Reflect his blaster bolts, dodge the unblockable shots and dives, and used ranged attacks with your blaster or saber throw to deal damage from a distance. If he throws grenades at you, push them away with the Force.

A good tactic to use here is to use the Blaster Stance and learn his patterns. When he's going to land, charge a shot and shoot him the moment he lands. He’ll get knocked down allowing you to charge another shot again and again. After three charged shots, run up to him and melee attack him.

After the fight, Caij Vanta introduces herself. She tells Cal that she’ll pay him for every Haxion Brood bounty hunter he defeats and to collect their data pucks. These data pucks can be used as currency to exchange for goods with Caij and the Pyloon's Saloon.

Use the ascension cable to get up where Caij is and you’ll find some High Republic Jedi ruins. Inside is an apparatus that looks like it's meant to hold one of those orbs you have encountered in the past. Unfortunately, there is no orb here right now.

If you go back outside and look at the wall behind Caij, you’ll see an area you can wall jump up to some roots. Scale this wall and you’ll encounter a group of bramliks and a gorocco.

You can fight them or you can run past them to the left. To the right there is a wall you can scale. At the top you will find a small chamber with a light beam. Remember that spot. You cannot pick up the Orb locked inside right now, but later you will have the ability to and you can come back for it.

You’ll find a relter you can use to glide to a Meditation Point. Take this time to activate this Meditation Point and rest.

At the Meditation Point, hook onto the spire to grab hold of the ledge. Move along the ledge and wall jump to the top where you’ll find another orb amplifier. Since you can't do anything here right now, jump across the gap to reach the ruins on the other side.

Inside the ruins, you’ll find a commando droid, defeat it to continue in peace. Inside you’ll find this device that can best be described as a wind vane.

You can push and pull it with the Force and it’ll cause the energy beam behind the wall to move. However it is being blocked by something. If left alone, the energy beam and vane will move back into its original place after a while.

Behind the wind vane there is an opening you can squeeze through. Go through it to figure out what's blocking the energy beam. As it turns out, a large cube is blocking the path. Force Pull it down to you to clear the way.

If you look behind you, you’ll find a Koboh Barrier above. You’ll need to get the energy beam onto the Koboh Barrier to destroy it as you did in the Forest Array Puzzle.

Return to the vane and Force Push or Pull it to have the energy beam destroy the Koboh Barrier. This will reveal a spot that can hold an orb.

Squeeze through the gap and pull the orb out of the orb amplifier. Throw it into this device then return to the other side to pull out the orb. Bring the orb outside to proceed.

When you’re in range as indicated by the purple line, throw the orb into the orb amplifier to power it. Jump across to get to the orb amplifier.

Unlike the orb amplifiers at the Forest Array, this one isn't fixed into place. If you interact with it, you can use the Force to rotate it! Have it point at the Koboh Barrier covering a fumarole to the lower right.

Once the Koboh Barrier is destroyed, you can use the new updraft to gain air while gliding on a relter. Go down where the Meditation Point is and start gliding on the relter facing the now clear fumarole!

Steer the relter to a ledge where you will find several battle droids. Land there, defeat the battle droids and go inside the dark pathway in the wall.

When you get inside, you’ll see two battle droids in front of you. Take them out then jump onto the platform to reach where the battle droids were. The platform will crumble and you’ll have to fight two goroccos. Defeat them so you can better study this room.

We have an energy beam being shot from an orb amplifier, a Koboh Barrier blocking a grapple point, and a cracked wall. Force Pull the cracked wall to reveal an orb apparatus.

Pull the orb out of the orb amplifier and throw it into the apparatus to unlock the door. Jump up and go through the door.

In this new room, Cal will mention how the Koboh Matter is overgrown. This seems to be the case on the machine at the end of the room. Go to the machine and interact with it. This will unlock the Koboh Grinder upgrade for BD-1.

With this upgrade, BD-1 will be able to shoot out a stream of Koboh Matter at your desired location! Koboh Matter fired by BD-1 will eventually disappear over time.

Fire some Koboh Matter onto the wall being struck by the energy beam. Koboh Matter that comes into contact with this energy will ignite. This allows you to create a trail of Koboh Matter that leads straight to the Koboh Barriers and clearing the path back out.

While you’re here, take some time to mess around with the Koboh Matter and destroy the Koboh Barrier at the end of the room to get a datadisc.

Go back to the previous room and place the orb you used to open the door back into the orb amplifier. Spray Koboh Matter towards the barriers to the left and right of the energy beam to clear the way.

Grapple up the wall to the right and wall jump up to the top. Go to the ledge towards the orb amplifier and pull out the orb.

Place the orb into this apparatus then wall run across the gap. Pull the orb out again and take it with you outside.

Place the orb into the amplifier outside and clear the fumarole in front of you.

Use the relter to the left of the amplifier you just used and glide to the far side of the canyon. Up ahead you’ll see some Bedlam Raiders and gorgers so get ready to fight.

Defeat the raiders and gorgers then head inside to the left of the nook. There will be an area you squeeze though but the moment you get inside, a raider will attack you from the right. Defeat them to continue exploring the ruins.

Going through the door on the right will lead you to an orb, though there is a problem…

If you take the orb with you, the door you came from will be closed. Put the orb back in the apparatus to open the door again.

In the central room, there's a broken pipe above you that contains a large cube. Force Pull the box down and push it into the door leading to the orb.

This time when you take the orb, the cube will stop the door from closing allowing you to place the orb in the orb amplifier in the central room.

What's odd here is that this clear barrier can't have Koboh Matter placed on its surface. Instead, the matter will just shoot straight through, You need to somehow clear the Koboh Barrier behind the waterfall so you can get the orb outside.

If you’re like me, then chances are you thought to just have the Kobold Matter go through the waterfall to get to the barrier. Unfortunately, lit Koboh Matter cannot be placed in water.

Instead you must bring the lit Koboh Matter to the barred window and quickly run inside. Fire more Koboh Matter at the barred window from the inside and lead the lit Koboh Matter to the barrier.

Place the orb into the amplifier past the waterfall and aim the energy beam at the fumarole to the lower left.

Use the relter nearby to glide to the final ruins at the very top of the spires. Be sure to rest at the Meditation Point at this location before proceeding.

Tague Louesh is a Bedlam Raider equipped with a double-bladed lightsaber. His attacks are sluggish compared to what Cal can do, but Tague is very slippery and tricky.

At times he will turn off his lightsaber in the middle of his combos only to ignite it to surprise you. If this happen, keep your guard up.

Dodge his unblockable attacks at all costs as he can use a grappling hook to pull you toward him for an attack. That or he’ll spin kick you in the face or proceed to stab you three times. That latter attack is very dangerous so keep dodging backwards until he's done stabbing.

If you’re too aggressive when attacking him, he’ll retaliate with an unblockable attack. He will jump back and attempt to grapple you, then pull himself towards you to spin kick you in the air. While this looks really cool, this is very deadly at higher difficulties.

To beat Tague, focus on parrying him and keep attacks against him brief to not provoke the awesome airborne spin kick. He may be slippery but he's very squishy. Once you defeat him you can continue exploring the ruins.

Slice the door that leads inside from the courtyard. On the desk is a High Republic Device. Interact with it to experience a Psychometry vision and pick up the device.

When you pick this up, you would have completed your objective "Research Tanalorr on Koboh via the Stone Spires ". If you have not already gone to the Shattered Moon, now would be the time to head back to the Mantis and do so. If you have done this already, return to Eno Cordova on Jedha to show him the High Republic devices.

Use the Meditation Point outside the courtyard to fast travel back to the Mantis at the Landing Pad Meditation Point.
