Unlocked by completing the Main Story at least once, Professional Mode is the toughest difficulty mode in Resident Evil 4 Remake. Featuring the toughest versions of enemies who deal the most damage, it will take a lot of cunning to beat the game on Professional Mode, and the tips below are designed to help you S+ Rank this mode.

Playing on Professional Mode comes with some specific difficulty modifiers to be aware of:

In addition, those looking to get an S+ Rank Rating are limited to only 15 manual saves at the typewriter in a single playthrough. Deciding which points to save at is no easy task, as you'll have to carefully weigh the pros and cons of trying to forge deeper into the game without recent save to go back to if you die.

Completing Professional Mode will unlock a variety of rewards, depending on a few challenge goals that you can meet during a playthrough:

The following tips will help you map out your Professional Mode run to get the best times and look out for important factors, challenges, and threats divided up by the chapter sections below. In addition, there are some overall tips and preparation you should keep in mind:

Aim to complete Chapter 1 in anywhere from 12-17 minutes.

Aim to complete Chapter 2 in anywhere from 8-12 minutes.

Aim to complete Chapter 3 in around 10-20 minutes.

There's a lot of potential backtracking, but try to complete Chapter 4 in 20-40 minutes depending on how much side areas you feel comfortable going to.

With this chapter, your escape may take more time depending on Ashley's costume, but you should try to complete Chapter 5 in 10-15 minutes.

There's a lot of unavoidable fights, so expect Chapter 6 to take around 15-20 minutes.

Due to the length and grueling pace of places like the Water Hall, you should aim to clear Chapter 7 in up to 30 minutes, or as little as 20 if you have enough Spinel to get infinite ammo for the Chicago Sweeper.

Again, depending on if you have the Chicago Sweeper, aim to shoot for 10-15 minutes for Chapter 8.

Chapter 9 is long, but not too complicated, so try to shoot for 17-25 minutes.

Chapter 10 is another very long one with lots of unavoidable battles and a length boss fight, so plan to get through this one in around 25-35 minutes without the Chicago Sweeper, but probably closer to 20+ with the infinite ammo gun.

Somewhat short, Chapter 11 has one longer unskippable section, you should try to complete it in 18-24 minutes.

The boss fight of this chapter can take a while to beat, unless you bring a Gold Chicken Egg with you. Depending on your loadout, you should try to complete Chapter 12 within 12-18 minutes.

There are a couple different ways to approach Chapter 13, but you should aim to complete it in 15-20 minutes.

This tough Chapter 14 has an important skip, and you should be able to complete it in around 20-25 minutes.

The last extremely tough Chapter 15 has yet another important skip, this one should also be completed somewhere between 18-25 minutes.

The final Chapter 16 should be made incredibly easy thanks to the Rocket Launcher, so you should be able to clear it in 6-8 minutes.
